Collection documents the efforts of the Parker Mainstreet Advisory Committee to preserve Parker's Mainstreet area through historic preservation. It contains notes, minutes and agenda from meetings, a copy of the Town of Parker's Preservation Ordinance, it's Development Standards, the assessment by the National Main Street Center, and supporting newspaper articles and other documents pertaining to the history of Parker. It also contains several surveys conducted by various groups in Parker including the Douglas Public Library District. The collection was donated by Cindy Murphy, the Library's representative to the committee.

The Parker Mainstreet Advistory Commission was formed by the Parker Town Council in 1993. It was made up of representatives of downtown property owners, merchants, and town residents to advise Town Council on the implementation of the Downtown master plan, as well as promote and improve the Mainstreet/downtown area.
